We are thrilled to announce the distinguished presence of Dr. Stevo Popović as an Invited Speaker at the AESA Sport Science Conference.
Dr. Stevo Popović earned his Ph.D. in Sport Sciences from the University of Novi Sad, Serbia, in 2011, marking the culmination of a remarkable academic journey. His educational foundation began with eight years of primary schooling in Feketić, Serbia, followed by high school in Bačka Topola, Serbia. In 1998, he embarked on his higher education at the University of Novi Sad, where he earned his bachelor's degree in 2003, master's degree in 2009, and ultimately, his coveted Ph.D. in 2011. Dr. Popović's commitment to academic excellence extended further as he pursued postdoctoral studies at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, during the 2011/2012 school year.
Currently, Dr. Popović serves as an Assistant Professor and Dean at the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education, University of Montenegro, Montenegro. His expansive research interests have covered diverse areas within Sports Science, reflecting his impressive professional journey from Physical Education to Anthropology of Sport and Physical Education and Socio-cultural Issues of Sport and Sport Management. This interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary background has cultivated his expertise and research versatility.
Dr. Popović also plays a pivotal role as an Executive Editor in the Montenegrin Journal of Sports Sciences and Medicine (WOSCC) and holds positions on several editorial boards for international journals. His numerous publications in international journals, coupled with his several keynote and invited presentations, have earned him international recognition as an esteemed academician in the field of Sports Sciences.
Additionally, Dr. Popović has been the recipient of several research grants through EACEA programs and has undertaken extensive academic collaborations, including extended visits to European universities spanning over one month. Furthermore, he currently serves as the coordinator for two national research projects funded by the Ministry of Science in Montenegro.
